I agree. The more elements of the weight loss strategy that can be maintained during weight maintenance, the greater the adherence will be. This should be a continuation of the same strategy ie. it becomes the new standard/routine that can be maintained long-term.
I’m sure that contributes to weight gain on the liquid diets. Firstly, it’s a big change to go from the initial way to of eating to the liquid diet. It’s also a big change to go from the liquid diet to the maintenance diet, which is also going to be different to the initial way of eating.
