I still don’t understand the ‘fundamental flaw’ of energy balance outlined in your article. The thermic effect of food is a component of energy expenditure that is directly related to the type and quantity of food consumed, so I think the energy balance approach factors in the impact of energy intake on energy expenditure. But you’ve said before that I don’t understand the energy balance hypothesis, so maybe I still don’t get it.

My opinion hasn’t changed reading this article, but nor do I expect yours to change when reading mine. It was good to take the time to read your article and better understand your approach.
