You Don’t Have To Skip Breakfast
I feel sorry for breakfast and the rollercoaster journey this meal has been on over the past twenty years.
A while ago, we were told that breakfast was the most important meal of the day. We were told that eating breakfast would set you up for the day and had the power to increase your metabolism.
Today, breakfast is an outsider, laughed away by the hoards of intermittent fasters or time-restricted eaters who would not be seen dead with cutlery before midday.
You may have ridden this ride with breakfast, unsure of what to do. Do you at breakfast to stoke your metabolism or skip it for the potential benefits of fasting?
As someone who discusses food intake with people on a daily basis, there are two things I am interested in when it comes to deciding whether to eat breakfast or not.
What Does Your Overall Diet Look Like?
We need to be careful when getting too caught up on a single meal. It is more important to manage nutrition intake over the day, or a week.
Plenty of people will have a good breakfast and lunch, but then let themselves go at dinner. Likewise, plenty of people eat well Monday to Friday before losing control over the weekend.
